So what does this mean for you?
Year over year, December 2017 was way up compared to 2016 in almost every way that counts, and down just where you’ll probably want it to be. Home prices were up, and average days on the market were down. The percentage of homes that sold over list was down from November, but still up year over year from last December. The number of new listings was lower than last year, but the market tends to slow down in the winter. Expect inventory to likely pick up some in the coming months.
